Programme Title: Permaculture for Peace โ Exploring Nature to Build a Better Future
Our Vision
At Global Peace Letโs Talk (GPLT), we believe that a thriving planet leads to thriving communities. Our Permaculture for Peace program teaches people how to work with nature, not against it, creating sustainable ecosystems that support both people and wildlife.
A Short Introduction to Animals & Plants in Ecosystems (Lead-Up to Permaculture for Peace)
Before diving into full-scale permaculture, we begin with a series of short, engaging sessions on different animals, plants, and their roles in ecosystems. These sessions help participants understand biodiversity and its connection to sustainable agriculture.
Topics Include:
- Why frogs, birds, and pollinators are essential to our food systems.
- The role of soil organisms (worms, microbes) in plant health.
- How different plants work together to create sustainable food forests.
- The importance of natural habitats in regenerative farming.
Each short session is designed to give practical, easy-to-apply knowledge, leading into our full permaculture training program.
Permaculture for Peace โ Full Training Program:
After learning about the animals and plants that support a healthy ecosystem, participants will dive into full permaculture training to:
- Design self-sustaining gardens for food security.
- Learn soil regeneration & water conservation techniques.
- Explore agroecology & biodiversity for sustainable farming.
- Build community-driven farming models that promote peace.
Who Can Join?
- Free for GPLT members.
- Open to non-members with a ยฃ50 contribution (fundraising for GPLT projects).
